Default "Tube CAD" versus standard electronics programs

I have heard many references to "TubeCAD" recently. Does it do things
that standard schematic capture and SPICE environments do not, or are
there other reasons to purchase a special tube oriented program such as
this? And if you use TubeCAD, do you feel it is a quality program worth
its price and learning curve?
