Frame size decisions
I reviewed the "unfortunate decisions made in MP3s design" and how MP4
compensated for them by increasing the maximum frame size for stationary signals and lower for more temporal ones. My question is, don't they evaluate this kinda **** before finalizing their product? When you're gonna release the next-gen format, you wanna make sure its design is optimal. You don't **** around with "sacred numbers" in this kind of business, so why did it require an entirely new format nearly a decade later to prove that off-key frame sizes will unnecessarily scuzz up your music? |
