Has anyone bought an Edirol R-09?
If so, what are its strong and weak points? A mini-review would be
wonderful. Thanks a bunch, Norm Strong |

Thanks a bunch, Norm Strong Even though they have been advertised for a number of months in catalogs like Swee****er, I don't think they are out yet. The release date keeps getting pushed back. I've had one on order for 4 months. I recieved my R-09 today, and has done my first recordnings. Too early for a proper review, but first impressions: * very light, a bit plastic feeling case * Funny construction for USB connector, bottom lid slips halfway and gives access to SD card and USB connector. At first i had difficulties with the lid, but guess one learns the "grip" * When recording very soft instrument, there's a noticable hiss with the internal microphone * Used it to record band rehersal, sounds good with internal microphone * Very easy to start and stop recording, no menues are needed while recording different tracks. * Fast transfer to computer Will try to put some recordings somewhere. i'm a bit curious about this hiss, if it's internal microphone only. |
