Hi, can anyone please tell me whether I can hook up my iPod nano with a

Can I use a 5 pin DIN to 2 RCA cable? iDuck The headphone output on any MP3 player will be OK to feed the normal amplifier line inputs. You'll need a stereo 3.5mm plug to two RCA (phono) plugs. It may be that your B&O uses a 5-pin din plug as the aux/tuner line input, in which case you may have to have a lead made up. If you still have the amp data sheet, check that the line input sensitivity is somewhere in the 100mV to 1V range, and you'll be OK. DON'T FEED THE MP3 PLAYER INTO THE PHONO MAGNETIC CARTRIDGE INPUT! That would overload the amp and would also have inappropriate frequency shaping applied. -- Chris Morriss |
