natural room ambience that you have in Ansermet recordings
..Nevertheless, nothing should be harsh or unrealistic sounding.At the
other end,the string bass pizzicato, the tuba and bass trombone
should be clear as day. You should also be able to hear the section
horns struggle because they are playing inadequate equipment

If you cannot hear all this,you have **** equipment,which exists in
all price ranges
