AES Show Report
The show report finally got published, and the online version is available at
http://www.positive-feedback.com/Issue28/aes2006.htm for anyone who is curious. This year the awards have been moved to a full article rather than the usual sidebar at http://www.positive-feedback.com/Iss...006awards.htm1 I hope folks enjoy it! --scott -- "C'est un Nagra. C'est suisse, et tres, tres precis." |

Scott,
I hope folks enjoy it! Excellent. I really liked the blurb about Eric Benjamin from Dolby Labs: "listeners in the treated room came very close ... it is a good response to people who claim that one can or cannot hear given localization effects." I've noticed this myself many times. When a room has all early reflections under control, imaging and localization improve enormously. Thanks also for the nice words on RealTraps. --Ethan |

Thanks Scott.
Future Music has been around for at least ten years. That aside, your characterisation is accurate. Cheers, Nick |

I don't know how widely distributed they are overseas. The publisher, Future Publishing has been producing a range of magazines covering home computers, games consoles and other electronic entertainment since at least the late 80s. Future Music probably appeared around 94, and has more recently been joined by sister publication Computer Music, focusing more on DAWs, soft synths and so on. http://www.futurenet.co.uk/futureonline/ -Nick |

The American edition that I saw didn't look at ALL British, and it was about as far away from the British magazines (Reflections, Audio/Media, and Studio Sound) as I could imagine. Now I need to go back and find it. --scott -- "C'est un Nagra. C'est suisse, et tres, tres precis." |

My posts here have been as information, not as recommendation. -Nick |

The only thing I'd change is that the best girl butt award should be accompanied by photos. |

Thanks for the review ! geoff |

Gads, now my face is plastered all over the internet and everyone now knows
I eat Chinese food. BTW, I have to remove the "1" from the end of the awards link to make it work. in article , Scott Dorsey at wrote on 12/13/06 6:40 AM: The show report finally got published, and the online version is available at http://www.positive-feedback.com/Issue28/aes2006.htm for anyone who is curious. It's really only been in the last two years that we have split the best-butt award into seperate genders. I do think at some point a picture of Eveanna Manley appeared, the year she won it. --scott -- "C'est un Nagra. C'est suisse, et tres, tres precis." |

I have been notorious all my life for eating Chinese food and it has probably not done me any harm (although my parents may disagree). I would win the best guy butt, but my nuts would win the "most
charming." award. Now, where is my trophy? On 14 Dec 2006 10:28:42 -0500, (Scott Dorsey) wrote: Agent 86 wrote: Thanks Scott.
