Default Loading sampler banks in Cakewalk

Hi all.

I'm wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction.

I'm trying to get Cakewalk Pro Audio 8.03 to automatically load banks
from the internal IDE hard drive on my E-MU E5000 Ultra sampler.

I've created an instrument definition (see below) where each bank on
the drive has an entry in the patch names list, and 'Normal' is
specified as the bank select method. This definition is assigned to
all channels on my PC soundcard.

The banks listed in the instrument definition are listed in the
Cakewalk track properties, but selecting a different bank within
Cakewalk just increases the patch number on the sampler for the
currently loaded bank by about 120 or so.

Is there something I am doing wrong?

Hi all.

Robot, you might need to experiment with the "bank select method" in
Cakewalk. I don't still have Pro Audio installed so I'm not sure how you do
this in Cakewalk but in Sonar you do it directly in the track view (though I
seem to remember it being in the Options menu in Cakewalk). I highly suggest
asking in the cakewalk.audio newsgroup.

Many thanks for this Ricky.
I've tried the cakewalk.audio newsgroup with no response.
Also tried experimenting with the bank select method, some of which
only increase the patch number on the currently loaded bank, and others
do nothing.
Any other ideas, or is it only possible to remotely control the
selected patch from the PC, and not load a new bank?
Thanks again,

I'm not sure robot. Usually changing the bank select method fixes the
problem.
