Default Neve Class A (1272) Output Question

Hi;

In the output stage of the 1272, would it be feasible to use a
non-DC-current-capable line output transformer by substituting a
resistive load on the output and then capacitivly coupling the line
output transformer to the collector of the output transistor?

Thanks

Yes, but it will totally change the sound of the device (a lot of
which comes from the output transformer design), and you will be able
to drive hardly any current out of it. Forget driving 600 ohms.
