Basement system has a set of a/d/s L8's, driven by Technics receiver.

Upstairs in the studio....
Mains; Urei 809A's with an Electrovoice EVX180 in a TL enclosure, Crown
Powered.
Hi-Fi reference, it's between a set of JBL L112's and a Set of a/d/s L580's,
Powered with either an old Kenwood receiver or a Rebuilt Scott 299C tube
amp. Sometimes I bust out the homebrew monoblocks but they warm the room
considerably.

Garage rig (another Hi-Fi reference for consumer level) Big, Nasty, Rock-em
Sock-em Jensens with a 15" woofer and a tiny magnet, a cone mid and a cone
tweet, they get loud but don't go as low as you would think. Powered by a
Phase Linear (flame linear) Model 400.

Right now in my office I'm listening to a set of KLH Model 38's (quite old)
driven by a set of Dynaco MKIII amps.

BSR WSP-5 amplified subwoofer with KLH TW-09B satellite speakers.

(That configuration doesn't give wall-shaking low bass below 30 Hz, but is
more than adequate for most music, movies, video games, and even just
watching TV at moderate volume levels.)

HOME
Vintage Energy 22's on 7 component vintage NAD system (Dual 2155 NAD amps
bridged mono for power, with around 125 real watts each, though not real
base boomers , a good clean sound overall).

CAR
Working on a system build-up with 2 Alpine 3533's (sub's), an Alpine 3525
and 2 more Alpine 3523's, with a 3653 Xover so far, more 1 Xover('s) to come
(eBay), ...........all mint vintage Alpine gear, in fact bought some of the
gear new in the '80's. Maybe a parametric Eq as well?

GOOD Old audio gear, like GOOD old girlfriends and cars/trucks, are hard to
get rid of for newer stuff just cause it looks newer.
