Default Newbie subwoofer connection problem/query.

Hello all,

I have aquired some low (ish) end audio equipment seperates on my very
tight budget, and am having a problem with connection of my subwoofer
to my amplifier.

first off i'll list the models of the items concerned : marantz pm-32
integrated hi-fi power amp circa 1992, eltax thunder 10 subwoofer
circa 2002 which is downward firing but im not sure if its meant for
hi-fi or surround theatre system.
The problem is that the amp has no "sub out" socket on the back, so as
a newbie it isnt clear to me as to how/if this model sub can be used
with a hi-fi amp.
at the moment i have bi-wired my floorstading eltax symphony speakers
into the amp but even then had to piggyback the banana plugs as the
amp only has outputs for one pair of speakers. The other sockets on
the amp a "aux" in, "tuner" in, "c-d" in, "phono" in, "dcc" in+out,
"tape" in +out and a strange looking "gnd" screw type single socket.

i have no manuals for these items as i bought second hand and have had
no luck on marantz website as the amp is so old. (in lovely working
condition tho)

The connections on the back of the sub are : "high level out" left
and right, "high level in" left and right and "line input" which looks
like a single interconnect lead type socket. The only other switches
on the sub are a "phase 0-180" switch??? , a "low pass frequency"
knob??? and the "power on/off" switch.

Sorry for waffling on for so long!! any help with the limited info i
have given would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!

(and if anyone can tell me what "DCC" and "GND" mean i would be
grateful.)
