Default Here it is! Part II

Jupiter Audio is proud to present a product that will revolutionize
the way America thinks about audio. We predict that our new product
will quickly change the American landscape, and improve the quality of
you're recreational life the minute you take advantage of this offer.
First, a little background:

Many of the most successful products are discovered by accident, such
as peniccillin or the ice cream cone. While I would like to take
credit for conceptualizing the full spectrum of uses for my product, I
have to admit that only by a lucky accident was I able to discover its
full potential.

By now, I'm sure you all know that Jupiter Audio produces the world's
finest speaker. Your going to have to take my word on this, because I
didn't waste any time with elitist trends like design or testing, and
as of yet the only independent review of the speakers was commissioned
to an incompetent asshole who was unable to write the simple sentence,
"They're the best mother****ing speakers on the planet Earth!" But my
word should be sufficient on this because I have world-class ears, and
I never lie. World-class ears - world-class speakers! Makes perfect
sense, right?

Well, it was a Saturday morning. After a session of world-class sex
with my life partner (wink, wink!), I went downstairs to play some
world-class music on my world-class audio system for the benefit of my
world-class ears. Of course, the Europa speakers sounded
mother****ingly, suberbly excellent!

I had made a cheese sandwich to tide me over until my life partner
(wink, wink!) could fry up a slab of bacon and a dozen eggs (diddling
you're ma is hungry work, you know!). With Bryan Fairy's "Positively
Fourth Street" sounding pertinent and wistful over the Europas, I
placed the sandwich on top of the speaker, and went into the kitchen
to see if my life partner understood what we were getting ready to
discuss. Well, you guys who have never received flowers at the office
know how one thing can lead to another on a Saturday morning, and
before you know it, I was back in the saddle!

After a couple minutes of serious bump and grind, mother**** if I
didn't start smelling melted cheese! At first, I thought the combo of
my wild love making and an ugly yeast infection was producing the
smell, but then I noticed smoke coming from the listening room/broom
closet!

I ran to see what was happening, immediately saw the commercial
ramifications, and thus was born the Europa Combination Speaker/BBQ
Grill! These are now available on most internet auction boards, just
check the discount/fire sale/seconds section. Accessories including
fire exstinguishers, asbestos suits and home insurance claim forms are
available at www.jupiter-audio.com! Please check back soon, as we
will be marketing a line of special BBQ sauce, designed with the same
care and effort as the Europas!

Does anyone have any info on what kind of amplifiers/musical material were
used when the speakers caught fire?

This is important because my brother-in-law is considering buying Europas.

God Bless, and thanks for your help.

It doesn't look like he needs much encouragement. Matter of fact, it
is pretty interesting to watch the dynamic of Jupiter Audio's
presentation here at RAO. If you look at the first few dozen posts in
the original "Here It Is" thread, the vast majority were encouraging
and even respectful of gerg's effort. If gerg had somehow undergone a
personality transplant, he probably could have gathered good
suggestions on how to market and improve his product, and educated a
large and vocal group of people interested in audio about the benefits
of his products.

Is it any mystery that gerg's monster ego quickly turned this into a
typical RAO trotsky-bashing? (When you see me on RAO, it can only
mean that gerg is in meltdown, and I have opportunity get in a few
cheap shots).

George, would you care to speculate on what possible outcomes ****sky
had in mind when he posted up a link to his website? Could he
possibly be so deluded that he thought he would gain some modicum of
respect from the group, and you would all be out schilling Jupiters to
your friends and family?

I don't say this lightly, but anyone *in their right mind* who was
counting on income from a startup company would have handled this
situation much differently, bitten their tongue, and displayed a
little grace when less-than-perfect comments about their speakers were
posted. Gerg's overly hostile responses were bound to turn this into
yet another open trotsky season. The sad fact is that he has
abandoned all hope of a positive outcome by turning this into a review
of his ego, instead of a review of his products.

Bingo. Bingo squared. Good stuff.

Well, as ye sow, so shall ye reap. Right, Greg?

Either Greg never learned this, or he has a big fat streak of
self-destructiveness. I can't think of any other explanation for his antics.

A very succinct summary.
It's the personality, not the speakers, which draws the fire. There was
actually a lot of constructive criticism, which he failed to heed.
I don't think that anyone shuts the door on a reincarnation of Jupiter Audio
based on sound principles of design, as opposed to Trotsky's famous "luck."

In the above sentence, "you" should be the possessive "your."

No, I don't. I am not responsible for the sockpuppet post of the "story."
I did work off it with my reply, in my own name.

It should be obvious that my post is wicked satire, while McCarty's posts
are claims of fact.
Another thing I will now do, which McCarty would never do, shall be my
statement below:
I am not aware of any instances in which Jupiter Audio (Greg Singh's)
speakers have caught fire.
On the other hand, he's never sold a pair, so who's to say what the future
will bring?

I've come to the conclusion that everyone on RAO gets what they
deserve. And most of them are asking for it. However, I will add
that Arny has politely answered the one or two questions I have asked
that had anything to do with audio. You answered one yourself.

Yes, you have hit on what is perhaps Mr. ****'s only redeeming value:
Until somebody disagrees with him, corrects him, argues with him, or
otherwise impugns his "audio knowledge", he can pass for a sane human
being. Afterward, of course, the mask falls away and the awful truth
comes through in full, grotesque detail.

You know, that's interesting: I was assembling a pair of speakers
yesterday, attempting to screw the crossover boards in place, when a
screw got tangled in the insulation and I couldn't get it out. I then
used my Dremel's cutting tool attachment to cut the head of the screw

briefly wondered if one of you dumb ****ing *******s might've been

"Draws fire?" What happened to "catches fire"?

Well, the adhesive you used on the stuffing *is* flammable.

You know, that's interesting: I was assembling a pair of speakers
yesterday, attempting to screw the crossover boards in place, when a
screw got tangled in the insulation and I couldn't get it out. I then
used my Dremel's cutting tool attachment to cut the head of the screw
off. It showered sparks for about 90 seconds continuously, and I
briefly wondered if one of you dumb ****ing *******s might've been
right, and something could catch fire. No, I'm afraid not.

Your "input" has been trash from day one, Joe. At least you had one
moment of clarity when you admitted you were a troll.

And you call that a competent test of the flammability of your
speakers? For Christ's sake, why don't you pony up and bring a set
over to Underwriter's Lab?

Is it "straw man" or "straw mouse" in your case? Are you saying the
dumb ****ing *******s that I mentioned look for UL listings to buy speakers?

Default Europa & Jupiter - take it OFF r.a.marketplace, PLEASE

I don't think we need to hear juvenile adults spouting at each other,
intelligent or not. Opinion newsgroup is fine, leave it off marketplace now.

Brian M. is starting to look good compared to you guys !

Thanks,

Todd.

Sorry, George. I'm one-dimensional, as far as RAO is concerned and
haven't paid much attention to that particular RAO trainwreck. It
just seems our paths are pionting in the same direction for a while.

Do you still enjoy apologizing for Arnii Krooger?

I've come to the conclusion that everyone on RAO gets what they
deserve. And most of them are asking for it. However, I will add
that Arny has politely answered the one or two questions I have asked
that had anything to do with audio. You answered one yourself.

I agree with you, anonymouse. Everybody on the newsgroup should get
their chance to behave like trash, and nobody missed a turn. In one way
you're correct: this *is* about ego. I don't know why I feel compelled
to prove that I'm better than everybody else, but I certainly am here.

Now, would you care to tell the group why you are so afraid that you
have to remain an anonymous piece of trash?

We've been over this before, gerg. You had your chance, and you
pussed out. Live with it, loser.

"Draws fire?" What happened to "catches fire"? It blows my mind that a
bunch of supposedly grown men sit around and talk trash in this manner.
And, of course, you Bob are the biggest hypocrite of them
all--although that's admittedly a long list. Dogging me with your Brian
McCarty like tactics--amazing. I suppose you're already getting your
just desserts because you're such a bad writer; misery loves company.
The only consolation I have is that even a whole newsgroup of beatoffs
and anonymice can't stand toe to toe with me. Oh, and that I've got an
excellent product and you don't. That's got to really burn you, eh Bob?

They've stood toe to toe and beat the living **** out of you. You're just
to stupid to know it.

When I want misery, I'll just listen to a pair of Europas.

How do you know? You have never heard any.

All this time I thought it was an act, you really are an idiot without the
least bit of introspection.

Please do yourself a favor and and stick your finger in a light socket and
turn on the juice. Maybe some shock treatment will do you some good.

I think he means he'd experience misery knowing somebody had actually
paid Gregipus some money for those grotesquely overpriced symbols of
the Mommy****er's twisted psyche.

Right, Bobo?

Take a schematic. They will overdrive them for several hours, measure
delta T, and if they don't blow up you will have a UL listing.
Probably cost you about $2,400, and they'll let you pay ove time.
They'll want to inspect your cough, cough... factory, but they've seen
worse.

If you choose to go this route, you should get a copy of the UL
Standard (probably in the 500 series), and make sure your stuff fits
within the requirements. Are the Silver Flutes UL listed or UL
registered?

I guess I didn't understand your last post: what do you then deserve as
an anonymouse? Be as specific as possible, please.

Right, Bobo?

That would be part of it.

Another aspect would be the misery of being the only person who ever
actually purchased a pair, albeit through an intermediary.

They might not sound too good either, note.
