Default dc fillament how acurate ?

Hi all

In case I feed the ecc83 tube with 6.3 VDC , how accurate should this DC
voltage be ?

How higher and how lower then 6.3 VDC can this
voltage go without mulfunioning the tube operation ?

Thanks
ec

** About +/- 10 % is usual.

The same as the mains voltage can vary, at least.

Heaters are typically specified to be within 10% of the nominal value. I
often run tubes l;ike the ECC83 from a 12V supply from a 7812 regulator.
The supply voltage is then only 5% below nominal and probably extends
tube life.
