Arny struggles
"Arny Krueger" wrote in message ... "Iain Churches" wrote in message .fi "Arny Krueger" wrote in message ... "Iain Churches" wrote in message i.fi You should trade in your toyshop console and mics for a red nose, an outrageous orange wig, a huge pair of boots, and baggy trousers:-) Let the record show that the "toyshop console" is a Yamaha 02R96, and the "toyshop microphones" are microphones that are generally accepted tools for use in a good quality live sound environment, including professional products by Shure, Countryman Associates, Rode, and Audix. So. If you cannot blame your tools for the poor technical quality of your work, where can the fault lay? Iain, I'm awaiting anything but impassioned bleats from your way in support of your claims. Post your link. My "claims" will be substantiated for all to hear:-) OK, no Neumann's. Maybe down the road. If you do not need to do multi microphone work, then you might be wise to sell off your church's mic collection and buy just one pair of Neumanns. That's a pretty typically ignorant thing for you to say, Iain. If it wasn't for the multi-microphone work, that church environment, like most church environments, would be completely impossible. That's just live sound. So what happened to the minimalist approch you were talking about the other day? You know Iain, given what little you know about live sound, you should really keep your totally pie-hole shut about it. " Totally pie-hole" ? :-))) Is that the lingo of the Baptist Youth group? Post one of you live recordings. Let me see if I can match or better it. Iain |

No, I'm saying that you are again committing a sin, and that according to your religion you will burn in hell for it. I have no respect for someone who presumes to follow a religion without actually following the conditions. That makes you a hypocrite and a liar. Whenever you try to make a comment about my personal life, you always get it wrong. That's due to your lack of intelligence. You see, when I make a comment about your personal life, it's based upon observable facts or things you actually say. You, however, make up absurd things out of thin air, hoping something will stick. It's the tactic of someone who is desperate, and someone who cannot use logic or reason in a discussion. This is why you never succeeded as a recording professional or engineer---you believe in fairy tales, and you have no grasp of logic or reason. That's why you spend your days playing on the Internet and never accomplishing anything. Boon |

You know Iain, given what little you know about live sound, you should really keep your totally pie-hole shut about it. So live recordings of concerts from London's Round House, the jazz Shakespeare Birthday concert from Southwark Cathedral, and a concert from the Queen Elizabeth Hall, all broadcast by the BBC don't count then? :-)) Iain Sorry Iain, without tambourines and hallelujahs it just aint live enough for Arny ;-) Cheers Terry |

Mabe some major projects need to be revised then. I suppose we could upgrade the Shostakovich Quartet into the Shostakovich Octet with the addition of four tambourines, but where can we find a buxom Afro American lady to shout "Sweet Jesus, Halleluja", and "Mercy, Mercy at the appropriate moments when inspiration takes her? We need a producer!! But don't mention this anyone else, TT, you could be on to a huge hit. Remember "Everything gonna be Alright" for Sweetbox which was based on Air In G (Suite no 3) by JS Bach? It was in the Top Ten Chart positions in England, Ireland, Sweden, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Norway, Finland, Spain, Colombia, Lebanon, Israel, Italy and France. In Germany (#12), Denmark (#13) and Holland the title reached the Top 20 and in the US the Single was among the Top 40 on the Billboard Charts. The track also stayed for 8 weeks in the Top 10 of the World Radio Charts (compiled by 150 radio stations in 40 countries). There could be money in them there tambourines:-) Iain |

Arny struggles

ti.fi Trying to be a one-man outfit more than 1000 times, and failing dismally each and every time does not make you a hero Arny, it makes you an idiot! If I've failed so miserably, why do people keep asking me to come back and record them, year after year? |

At this point you've admitted that you were a producer and not a recordist. More specifically you were not a hands-on technician during the actual recording sessions. It seems like Decca put you in some back room and let you shuffle papers. In your arrogance and stupidity, you now represent any recording that you shuffled a paper for, as "one of your recordings". |
