Default A custom installed milllion+ dollar theater with Wilson & Transparent

This month on ModernHomeTheater.com we feature a custom theater
installation done by Krystal Clear Audio-Video in Dallas, TX that
features well north of $1,000,000 in AV gear. Some of the audio
highlights? How about WILSON Alexandria2 fronts, 5 WATCH DOG subs and
MAXX rears along with Transparent's Opus cables. In this "out of the
box" office space there is a 2 story wine cellar and audio zones in
every office.

To see this incredible install go to http://www.modernhometheater.com

Enjoy,

The only thing that is incredible to me, is that someone actually spent this
kind of money for this kind of gear. According to a quick search, the Opus
cables alone cost more than a top of the line high performance Japanese
motorcycle. I know that according to world famous researcher, Professor
Barnum, there is one born every minute, but at these prices the sucking
sound must be coming from a particularly exceptional example of the breed.

Not necessarily.....just somebody to whom $1.5mm is not a big deal.

I guess so. But if it were me, I'd take the motorcycle and pocket the
change. When I want emotional excitement, heavy gauge wire is not my idea
of interesting...unless the wire is connected between a spark plug and a
distributor. I know the topic's been beaten to death, but I can think of
no other hobby where a hunk of mystery wire could ever become such an
obsession, and such a money maker.

Imho, it would be trivial to exceed the objective and subjective
performance for a fraction of this price. Referring of course to the
audio portion. Can't comment on the video.

As far as I am concerned the aesthetic of the room is less than stellar,
actually rather pedestrian & sterile as "high-end" video rooms go.

But maybe the $1.5 million was for the whole place, and not just the
video room - which makes more sense. Did not bother to read the silly
article...
