I have heard nothing but great reviews of the Adire Shiva 12"
sub. The problem is every retailer is out of stock and it will be
months until they available. Something about switching over factories.
I was really set on getting one of these, but now I need to consider
alternatives. Can anyone tell me what subs compare to this one as far
as sound quality, SPL and other characteristics? I have a 1.5 cubic
foot box. Thanks

Adire is coming out with the new Shiva line, not sure on availability
though. You will need to spend about an extra 50us for the new Shiva12
over the mkIV. Check out AdireAudio.com.

I've replaced my Shiva with an Atlas12 and am very pleased with it. Its
in the home with the 88.5L sealed Shiva enclosure. It doesn't bottom out
as easily as the Shiva did, I'm all for ruggedness. SQ is a subjective
thing. Adire's XBL2 motor for about the same price as the new Shiva's.
