Telephone mute wire....whats the volts on this wire?
Does anyone know what the volts are for a normal headunit tele mute such as

Telephone mute wire....whats the volts on this wire?
That wire is intended to receive the grounded 'mute' signal from a cellular
phone. When the phone rings, it sends a ground to the radio, which then reduces volume while the phone is in use. If there's any voltage on it, it's only leakage from the relay or IC that switches the radio's mute circuit. David UnderTheDash.com "Jim" wrote in message ...
