Default Tracking Guitas n Bass with the POD

I have been tracking guitars and basses using my old close to original
pods. I have one for guitar and one for bass. I think they are about 8
years old. Are there newer units that sound better? Although these
units are quick to setup I always feel like I am loosing a little bit
of clairity?
Glenn.

Isn't losing clarity much of the point of a cabinet simulator?

I'm very pleased with the Pod X3.

I've used an old POD V2... was happy with the sounds.. but always ran
through a Marshall 9000 Tube Power amp & mic'd the cabinet.

I bought a Digitech 2120 ... sounds great mic'd with the above or with
cabinet simulator engaged. I use a 2112 for live work.

Highly Reccommended. Or Rocktron's Latest is really good too.
