Ever notice the guys who post to multiple lists never have anything to

Just one of those things.

I realize tubes are not the hot technology, but, seeing the great
unwashed posts here is sort of futile

Proper heat sinking will eliminate many of the heat related problems.

At least that is what some guy on a list said the other day.

Well... first, it isn't a contest.

Most of us putter along treating this as a hobby with far less than
world-shattering consequences but capable of delivering quiet
enjoyment nevertheless. Some very few of us see themselves as God's
gift and accordingly are plagued by many demons. And a subset of those
travel with their own home-brew Greek Chorus to bolster their
otherwise wasted egos. Otherwise it is a fairly reasonable group of
individuals involved with tubes at various levels not all of which are
hands-on.
