One day last week marked the one-year anniversary that REALJAZZCAT's
gold-plated pin tube auctions were publicly exposed as a SCAM. With
total eBay complicity, he continues to scam unsuspecting novice tube
buyers. The scam is simple: purchase large quantities of standard
Telefunken and Mullard tubes, gold-plate the pins, and resell them as
genuine factory premium tubes for many times their true value.

Here are the different ways he has auctioned off his gold-plated pin
Telefunken 12AX7s:
1. He originally sold them as genuine Telefunken ECC803S, despite the
fact that they were not a frame-grid tube like a real Telefunken
ECC803S.
2. When his scam was exposed, he claimed that they were specially made
for the German military.
3. Later on he sold them as "with enhanced pins."
4. He then switched to "to the best of my knowledge, they may have
been plated outside of the Telefunken factory."

Which one of the above is the truth and which ones are the lies?
Perhaps they are all lies? Want to see an example of how gullible his
buyers can be? Check out auction #5735358814, a non-SCAM auction. He
got a buyer to pay $119.95 EACH for two 5T4 Rectifiers. Antique
Electronic Supply sells them for $6.90 each!

When REALJAZZCAT's first eBay buying ID was exposed last year
(thetubemuseum), he opened up a new buying account under eBay ID
TUBEANGEL (to verify this, see auction number 3775047628, then
3780609908). Notice that TUBEANGEL is a private ID? He doesn't
want you to see what he's buying (but you can see the last 30 days).
Over the last year, he's purchased large quantities of tubes under
that ID. His purpose is twofold:
1. Some of the tubes he bought so that he could gold-plate the pins and
resell as premium tubes for many times their real value.
2. "Churn - Baby - Churn". He buys lots of junk tubes for the
sole purpose of reselling them to build up his feedback rating.

We have heard from many of his victims and it's always the same old
SAD story. They see his auction photos, glitzy descriptions and high
feedback rating and assume that he's a legitimate seller. They
didn't realize that they were scammed until after they left him
feedback.

While on the topic of sad stories, it has become obvious that
REALJAZZCAT is a hack guitarist who obviously can't make a living as
a musician. Since he is incapable of making a legitimate living, he
decided to take the easy road and scam unsuspecting tube buyers. We
say - HAPPY ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY TUBE DEVIL!

SCAM SUMMARY:

1. REALJAZZCAT was caught purchasing GOLD BULLION on eBay.
2. REALJAZZCAT's other business involves METAL FABRICATION and likely
has access to PLATING EQUIPMENT - see http://tinyurl.com/3kqhn
3. REALJAZZCAT was caught purchasing large quantities of standard
12AX7s tubes on eBay.
4. REALJAZZCAT was selling "Mullard 10M" gold pin 12AX7s without the
10M yellow print, even though this yellow print almost never rubs off.
5. REALJAZZCAT has been selling General Electric 6201/12AT7s re-branded
as premium Telefunken ECC801S. These tubes were made in the USA and do
not have the diamond on the bottom of the glass.
6. REALJAZZCAT's scam auctions are almost always "private bidder".
Why would anyone use private bidder for tube auctions if the auctions
are legitimate?
7. REALJAZZCAT has shills bidding on his auctions. Since he did this
on open bidder auctions, you can be sure that he is doing it on his
private bidder auctions.
8. REALJAZZCAT is the only one in the world selling these tubes and yet
seems to have an UNLIMITED supply. This includes gold-plated pin
Telefunken 12AX7s, Telefunken 12AU7s, Telefunken EF86s, and Mullard
12AX7s.


FEEDBACK SUMMARY (how REALJAZZCAT maintains his feedback record):

1. REALJAZZCAT has had multiple negative feedbacks deleted by eBay.
Either he has an inside contact there or this is eBay giving
preferential treatment to one of its powersellers.
2. REALJAZZCAT preys on "tube newbies" who don't know better.
Most of his scam victims are inexperienced tube users who don't know
what they are really buying.
3. More than half of REALJAZZCAT'S feedback rating is related to
common, inexpensive tubes, an easy way to build up a high rating.
4. REALJAZZCAT does occasionally sell genuine premium tubes to give the
fake ones the appearance of legitimacy.
5. REALJAZZCAT provides first-rate service for his scam tube sales.
6. REALJAZZCAT bribes buyers in the form of discounts or free tubes if
they leave glowing feedback comments.
7. REALJAZZCAT extorts buyers to leave him positive feedback in return
for a refund when his fraud has been discovered.
8. Even when people realize that they have been duped, they often don't
complain because they feel stupid, don't think it will do any good or
are afraid of retaliatory feedback.
