Default 2 channels to 4 channels

hi, i seen some 2 channel to 1 channel y connectors at walmart but not any
1 channels to 2 channels

my amp has four channel high level inputs right

well my head unit just has 2 channel rca outputs

and it shows the speakers as four channels right

so in order to use all four channels of the speakers it seems i need to put
two more channel of rca cables in however i just have two channels from
the headunit

Your question is a bit confusing. What amp (make/model) is it and what
HU (make/model) do you have? That should help clear things up considerably.

it is a boss 350 choas
it has four channels, four rca inputs

my hu is a jvc g400 or something
it has two rca outputs

y cables go from 2 rca (female) to 1 rca (male)

that would mean i need four 10 feet rca cables and two y cables

i rather get a y cable that is 1 rca (male) to 2 rca(female)

so i can just use two rca cables and make that four at the amp

here is the deal more simplified

i have a two channel head unit i want to connect to four channel amp

to do this with walmart stuff i need to use four rca cable and two y cable
(do the split at the head unit)

i want to just use two rca cables and two y cables (do the split at the
amp)

You will need 2 y-adaptors... each with one female to two males... then you
will be able to use all four inputs on your amp. So it seems Wal-Mart has
exactly what you need.

na , if i remember correctly, walmart has one male to two females
which would split at the head unit not amp

and that would cost me more rca cables than the setup i want

Try another place. Like Radio Shack, Best Buy, Circuit City, etc. I've
bought several at Radio Shack before.

If all else fails you still have a couple options to fall back on. One
is to run the high level inputs directly into the amp. Another is to get
a Low Level Converter and put the rears to it and then run RCAs from it
to the amp. Both of those will still give you use of the fade control at
the HU whereas the y-splitters will not.
