There stuff sounds good. I have just gotten my feet wet in loop-based
production. Getting tired of music that never changes chords. |

I find that hard to believe. Garage band does. Ty Ford -- Ty Ford's equipment reviews, audio samples, rates and other audiocentric stuff are at www.tyford.com |

ACID Loops
Acid will change chords. The trick is to have a drummer that really
knows his/her stuff. The guy I use has over 40 gig of loops and knows how to use them. Doc Weaver |

ACID Loops
I've used a number of the PLP loops and their pretty good for what they are.
Oddly enough, I find the PLP material to be more static than the Sony stuff. YMMV of course. FWIW, there's enough variety in the Sony libraries that you ought to be able to find what you're after. Plus, if you're using AcidPro there are many ways to slice, dice, stretch, change the key and pitch shift your loops to get all kinds of uniqueness out of them. There's an abundance of samples and loops found around the web. A few others I've used a www.shockwave-sound.com www.loopgalaxy.com www.beatmode.com www.funk-station.co.uk www.smartloops.com As well as many others. Google up "loops" or "samples" or "acid loops" and be prepared to spend a few hours checking out the variety. "SEOguruPuzzle" wrote in message oups.com... But you can't change the component audio parts of a complex loop, of course. Just like you can't independantly fade an instrument up or down on a CD. Maybe you need to read the manual, Marky, or try some of the online tutorials. Many 'chordal' loops come with separate loops for the different chord structures. BTW Acid 6 now has fully multitrack DAW capability - record as many audio tracks as you like, same easy inuitive workflow as Vegas. Plus all the loop and MIDI stuff that Vegas doesn't, if that's you thang. geoff |

I know I can change the chords, but most of the stuff I've seen seems
very techno/ambient and relies more on texture and rhythm, compared to chordal complexity. I'll drop it down to the VII, but most of what I've seen (limited it is) is like that. |

There are all the loops you could imagine out there. http://www.acidplanet.com/ is a good place to start. geoff |
