Default Scott S-15 Speaker System

Scott S-15 Speaker System

Image and more info: http://members.aol.com/KDresch/scott.html

Here is a classic speaker system from Scott. Made in New England - with the
typical smooth East Coast Sound. This is a 3-way system with 10" woofer, 5" mid
and 3" cone tweeter. Woofer uses a treated textile surround so no foam rot
ever. All drivers are original and working. These remind me of a KLH-17 with a
midrange! Nice sound from top to bottom. If you have some old Scott tube gear
this was go with it well. The built is so similar to AR and KLH. Look at that
rear panel.

Overall good condition, but there are signs of normal wear on the cabinets.
Some hints of white paint is on the side of one speaker (visible in image)
probably due to lying on a shelf. I retreated the walnut cabinets with some
Minwax wood finish to freshen them up. Just try to find real wood cabinets in a
speaker today - good luck! Cabinets are very thick and sealed. These have a
very full sound all in a manageable size (11 3/4"w x 23 1/2"h x 9"d).

The model below this (S-12) listed for $550 pr from 1968-70 so I assume this
one was even higher. ( 50lbs net, 65lbs gross pr.)
