I'm surprised that you're not intelligent enough to understand that
someone from a newsgroup arrived at my door uninvited. He lived about
100 miles away from me. I took this uninvited visit at 10 p.m. from a
stranger who was a political opponent online to be a threatening move.
I also received phone calls from him. All of this took place because I
revealed information about myself (mostly just my last name) in a
newsgroup. If you want to call that "paranoid", then have at it.
