loose wires? or something else?
ok heres the problem, my front lefts keep going out, like no sound coming
out of them at all. but then they come back after a while and all is fine and dandy, sometimes my tweeter will go out but the door will be working and vice versa. now is this a case of a wire being loose? if there were loose wires, wouldnt it be creating a crackling kinda noise? because if that is the case, i am hearing nothing as far as crackling, just the speakers stop making sound completely, but come back on after a while. Ive had this problem before i replaced my last speakers with these. The same guy installed them both times, because he pretty much new the most out of the ppl i had to choose from. so what do u think, loose wires, the installer did something wrong, or speakers are going? thx |

It sounds to me, like you have either a bad amp, or your amp is going in and
out of protection mode because you have a bad speaker. I would check your speakers first. It can't be a loose wire, because the speakers will change from sub out tweet working and then reverse. Sounds like the amp in protection mode, because of a bad or blown speaker. -- WDW is a Way of Life "mark" wrote in message ... ok heres the problem, my front lefts keep going out, like no sound coming out of them at all. but then they come back after a while and all is fine and dandy, sometimes my tweeter will go out but the door will be working and vice versa. now is this a case of a wire being loose? if there were loose wires, wouldnt it be creating a crackling kinda noise? because if that is the case, i am hearing nothing as far as crackling, just the speakers stop making sound completely, but come back on after a while. Do you have a crossover that could be having problems?

Do you have a crossover that could be having problems? yes, actually i have one mounted in my dash. i havent noticed any actualy problems with it. but i guess that could be a possibility (but why would it only effect the front lefts?) i would think that both fronts would be going if the crossover was the problem?? thanks |

I had a Rockfosgate Passive crossover do exactly what your describing. I
replaced it and the problem was gone. Maybe over time something rattled loose. The one had a problem with was mounted inside the drivers door. The rattling of bass and the opening and closing of the door may have caused a problem over time. "mark" wrote in message ... "smoove" wrote in message ...
