Tube gear repair in South East Florida?
Tube Fans:
Any recommendations for repair of vintage tube audio (not musical instrument) equipment in Miami or surrounding area? I relied for many years on a great repair outfit based in Miami that has recently moved out-of-town. I need someone able to repair vintage tube gear in an "appropriate" manner (which means to me: "uses NOS parts or equivalent, not a hot-rodder"). This is not a "troll"; I really want some info. Feel free to reply directly to my email. Regards, David deForrest |

David:
If you can't find someone local, pony up for the shipping, box it really really well, and send it to Vince Reh at Byron Hill Ltd. in Vermont - (802) 655 6660 from 10 am - 7pm. He's an EE retired from consulting for IBM Microelectronics Div. Tony Soprano aka James Gandolfino send his VTL amps to him for repairs - he's that good, no modding, keeps everything original, reasonable. Great guy too. Tell him that I sent you.
