Default James Randi answers Stereophile mag attack

Those following the course of this story know that Randi asked some well
known audio marketing/publishing folk to demonstrate their ability to hear
"stones" and other such tweeks, and did so to the tune of 1,000,000 US
dollars as an incentive. Mr. Atkinson responded here to the original
story and recently his mag has published what seems his public response to
the story via one of the opinion pieces in the nov. issue. Randi responds
to the author of that piece and mentions that a response directly to Mr.
Atkinson is forthcoming. It should be said that Randi doesn't read this
group but he is aware there is some discussion of the topic occuring on
the internet among audio folk.

Frankly, I don't think any of this discussion reflects favorably on
the principals in the argument. Dudley's attack was childish and
Randi's riposte wasn't much better.

p.s. and we STILL don't have a good test of the Shakti Stone.

While this may possibly be off-topic, if this is an attempted Jonestown
reference, be aware the Kool Aid FAQ points out that the drink of choice
was in fact Flavor Aid.
