Default fisher 500 c

I have a 40 year old Fisher which needs a little work, and the Fisher
Doctor in NY does not answer the phone or his email these days. Does
anyone else work on these old Fishers? I am in Chicago.

Company called "Bizzy Bee" across the river in the eastern suburbs of St.
Louis (can't recall the exact location, but it's in Illinois suburbs). Paul
Grezbec is the owner, and he is a Fisher specialist, repairing and restoring
old equipment. However, recently he has diversified into importing and
modifying tube amps from China for distribution in the USA, so he may not be
doing Fisher repair work any more. Worth tracking him down to see, however,
as he has a reputation for excellent work.

I found bizzy bee in Wheaton, which is a suburb of Chicago, and Paul
is not in the repair business any more. He is building his own units.

He said that the Fisher Doctor is in hiding, having taken a bunch of
money and old tube amps to be fixed, and hasn't fixed anything. Some
people have been waiting for years to get their money or their
equipment back.

Thanks for your help.

Jim, sorry that Paul is no longer doing that kind of work. His repairs and
refurbishments were first rate. I just sold a KX-200 that he had refurbed
back in 1999 and it compared quite well to my ARC SP-6Brc and D-90 in sound
quality. I continue to use a Fisher FM-90B tuner that he did..it remains in
perfect alignment and the sound quality is superb.
