There's a sound system they're trying to get as good as possible, so naturally they choose one of the best tools for detecting difference. No wonder it bothers you, it's further evidence of the acceptance of ABX for audio. Will someone call the ambulance before there's any more of this? Whottsa matta, you gonna plotz from all the facts? |

Will someone call the ambulance before there's any more of this? Ludovic Mirabel Weird, Ludovic. My hand was poised over the keyboard ready to type, "Will someone...." Amazing how the fact that audio ABX being widely accepted and commonly used by people who create audio systems makes some people so tense. As I've said before, it's very easy to find stuff about people who use audio ABX and how it's acceptance is a given. The only negative things one finds about audio ABX are from people who have no evidence demonstrating it is faulty or hides differences as some keep trying to suggest. |

He knows when to run from the crumbling ABX fortress into a noncontroversial DBT stance. Poor Arny- he can't count on anyone. Ludov M. |

I have listened to numbers of ss cd players that sounded quite different from each other. obvious differences, nothing really subtle. |

Since the measurements of every CD player I've ever seen, shows that ANY differnces would have to be subtle to non-existent, I am convinced that what you heard was the result of bad evaluation techniques. It is possible to hear things that aren't there. |
