Can GM food be classified as 'organic'?
After spending the holidays back home in London and seeing a plethora of
organic products in supermarket shelves, I was wondering whether there's any difference between the American and European definitions of an organic food. For example, over here nothing carries an implicit GM label therefore as long as the food is not treated with fertilizers, preservatives and other chemicals during it's processing it should qualify as organic, right? Also, what is the advantage of a GM crop over a non-GM one? And why the international flak over it? |

No good reason to prefer organic over non-organic other than some people fear they are being poisoned by the stuff used to keep the bugs off, etc. In general organic food tends to be uglier and taste worse. It's like the flap over irradiated food, which has no harmful effects, yet people are scared. Same goes for genetically engineered food. People sometimes aren't happy unless tehy are complaining. |

And how would you classify your pollution of the MIDI hibernation thread? a) Social malignancy, as in attempt to gain revenge on Bob Morein ? b) Willful falsifcation of the facts? c) Ignorance on your part, which for other people would not be a fatal error? Pick one, Arny. Your are either malignant, a liar, or ignorant. |

And how would you classify your pollution of the MIDI hibernation thread? You cast the first, second and etc. stones in that thread, Robert. You set the stage for a negative reaction with your years of lies and public attacks on people who politely disagreed with you at first, such as Pinkerton and myself. This is just yet another pathetic example of how Robert Morein can't take responsibility for his own reprehensible actions. |

If it contains carbon, it's organic. Or so I remember.
