Q: Vintage Lear Siegler Speakers
Does anyone know anything about Lear Siegler, Bogen Div., speakers
model LS50A? I have a pair that, best I can tell, date back to the late 60's or early 70's. They haven't been used in a couple of years, but worked fine before that with the exception that one of the tweeters would cut in and out depending on how the potentiometer was set. The cabinets show significant wear, but can easily be cleaned with a little TLC. I am trying to determine the rarity, and ultimately the value. Any help that can be offered would be most appreciated. Thanks. |

Thanks. These must be rare - I looked in my 2003 Orion Blue Book and there ws no listing. My opinion is this: if old products are very well known and of superior quality they sometimes have a following and command a premium in the marketplace, but your speakers don't seem to qualify. Rarity alone doesn't seem to make people want old speakers. Sorry. Wylie Williams The Speaker and Stereo Store Saint Louis Missouri |
