The Samsung is not yet on their web site. The Panasonic web site handling
DVD's and recorders is down right now. So I have not further info.

My guess is that the HD941 is an upgrade to Samsung's HD931 DVD-V machine
(although the tray is in a different location and it looks similar to other
P single trays).

The Panasonic ad does not mention "remastering", but the "55" designation
probably means it contains the DVD-V and DVD-A basic capabilities of the
S55, which are outstanding

In Europe, the equivalent models seem to be the the DVD-HD745 and
the DVD-HD945 available in July and August respectively, according
