Opinions needed on a transaction gone bad
I've recently purchased a CD changer from Audiogon. The player
arrived in good order but started to skip on most all of my CDs. A few days later it would not power up. I immediately contacted the seller whom promised to file a claim with FedEx as soon as he can. That was a week ago and I have not heard anything from him. Meanwhile I took the initiative and filed the claim with FedEx a few days back. FedEx will pick up the player tomorrow to do an inspection and then ship it back to the seller. I also have informed the seller of my action and again, not a word from him. My delimma is: should I let FedEx pick up the player and hope that the seller will settle the claim or should I hold on to the player until I hear from the seller. What do you all think I should do? Thanks, Hugh |

Where there any dented corners on the box, or anything else that might indicate that the player has been dropped by FedEx? If not, you really don't have a case - Just bad luck. / Hans |

In other words, if the box is intact, and the contents have been pulverised to powder, you have no claim. |
