Default 06' Cobalt HU install help

does anyone know what install kit and harness I need for my 06' Cobalt?
Crutchfield says I need a $179 kit! I've also found that a scosche GM1587B
for a 2004+ malibu will work. I'm not sure about the harness though I found
the 2000+ GM harness will work I believe the model # is GM05 but not sure.

Not sure about the dash kit, but if you're truly outraged by the wiring
harness prices, you could always go without... It just takes longer to
install.
