Default 2016 Los Angeles AES Show Report

My annual AES show report is now posted. Visit the Trade Show Reports
page for this one and reports from other shows, or jump straight to it
here. As usual, it's about what I noticed and found interesting. If you
don't see something here that you're curious about, it might have been
at the show and either I missed it, reported on it at a previous show,
or it just wasn't my thing. Enjoy.

As usual, it's a fairly long PDF. Read it on line or download it.

FYI: Two links, both "2016 AES Show Report Posted" lead nowhere. Maybe shouldn't be links?

I am amazed at how quickly Mike gets these things up. I haven't even
unpacked my laundry by the time Mike has the full report on the web.
Look for my report in a couple weeks; the photos are in the tank right
now and should be scanned tomorrow.

It's because I have no life. But then, some people post photos right
from the show floor, though with little or no text to accompany them.

Besides, by getting my report up early, others who post reports can see
what I missed and post about other things (or the same things). I forgot
to check out the Waves Vinyl plug-in. It might not be very useful, but
it sure looked cool in the press release.

Thank you!

Sadly, I see that the "Best Butt in Show" entry was censored. I guess
someone just had to complain.

Well, you can tell us here who the best butt of the show was. I didn't
really see anything noteworthy. Some nice hair though.

Thanks Scott and Mike for your great reads !

Maybe one day they'll do a show in a venue with (relatively) good acoustics.

Did anyone have the opportunity to check out the JBL LSR308 speakers?

I heard their demo last year (or was it the year before) as part of their
demo of the M2 monitor. But the room acoustics were so horrible you couldn't
really tell anything.

The idea seems like a really good one, though.
