Default Dahlquist DQ10's They Back?? Are They Now Junk?

http://www.dahlquistcorporation.com/DQ_TEN_cover.htm

I have always wanted a pair of DQ10's but they are from before my time..

I see Dahlquist (Or Whoever bought them out) brought these back.

I have not seen them at any dealers yet.. Do you think they will be as nice
as the originals?

I have a feeling they are just milking the Model Number for sales... Not
sure..

You CAN be sure about one thing, based on their photograph of the new
"DQ TEN": this new speaker is entirely different from the original
Dahlquist DQ10. Different shape, different driver layout, different
drivers entirely.

It's not as though they "brought these back," as "brought out a new
speaker and put a similar name on it."

Until it can be auditioned by you, or by someone you trust who knows the
old DQ10, be very wary.

One thing for sure is they missed one of the main technological concepts of
the DQ-10
which is the baffle-less design that helped to eliminate wave distortions.

If you want to do simple experiment to demonstrate this concept just do the
following.

Have a friend speak to you normally while facing you from a few feet away.
Then have then repeat the same words while holding their open hands on each
side of
their mouth so their flat open palms are facing you. While subtle, you will
notice a
difference in the sound of their voice.

A simple way to demonstrate a principle of physics.

But as always the true test is as simple as listening to them.
