Hi Everybody,

I'm new to the group. I'm looking for a Fostex 4030/4035
Synchronizer/Controller user's manual. Fostex doesn't make them
anymore; someone on Ebay is selling photocopies of it for $27 w/
shipping, so I thought I'd try here first. I don't mind a photocopy --
I just want to learn how to use the 4030/4035 -- I just think that's a
bit much for a non-original manual. I would easily pay $10 for a
photocopy or scan of someone's manual.

I'd also be interested in buying two 20-pin ribbon cables that are used
to connect the 4030 synchronizer to two Fostex R8 8-track machines.
From what I've read on this group, it sounds like they're nothing fancy
-- I'm hoping so, as I'm having trouble finding any specific info on
the cables, and Fostex doesn't like to return calls or emails.

The 4030/35 was no toy and a heck of a system. Mine makes the R8 track time
code and/or the DA88 rack.

$30 ain;t bad for the time to copy the darned thing though...
I'll see if I can find mine and what's involved...
Buying a new scanner so it might be a fair initiation project...
