There are many online sources for kits like this...
http://www.electronickits.com/kit/co.../ampl/k143.htm for the
satellites
http://www.electronickits.com/kit/co.../ampl/k143.htm for the
subwoofer
You will also need a crossover circuit, many of those out there, too.
Google is your friend.

Those are very nice, I have made some myself. BUT they
are rather substantially overpowered for the OP's speakers.
They could vaporize the speakers before the protection circuit
even knew what happened.

Many thanks to all.

Spent a night fixing and tinkering and I found that the PT2256 digital
volume control is busted. I shorted the input pins and it worked. Only
that no output in one of the satellites.
All I have to do is make a stereo to mono circuit or maybe setup my
software to output mono. Right?

Maybe. Your question cannot be competently answered
with so little information.

The "usual" varieties probably would be too much power,if you cranked
the volume.
There are other smaller 'flavors' using the LM1875,and similar chips.

From Google:

stereo to mono adapter, too dangerous.
little info about stereo to mono conversion

What can I do for now is play music using mplayer -channels 1.
