web host for tube design manual
RL: Patrick Turner, who I think posts on this NG has a very nice website.
Mabey he can help you out. I think it is called TurnerAudio, in Australia. MH "R.Legg" wrote in message om... Can anyone recommend a web host to provide free public distribution for a tube design manual? Alt.binary.xxx is a bit hit-and-miss for this sort of thing. The electronically formatted file is about 11M in the first iteration of the pdf document, but may shrink as the 60 pages of tube charts that it contains are more expertly compressed.(Gif and pdf volume was about 125K per chart page while 40 text pages ran 600K total). I have yet to track down a current copyright owner (originally Ryder in 1958). Ryder went out of business a while ago and, unfortunately, the author passed away in Y2K. Contacting relatives for this sort of thing is a bit invasive, so I'm not exactly sure how to go about it. Any advice on this issue would also be appreciated. RL |
