Carver TFM 35 amp question

I have a Carver TFM 35 amp that has a rating in bridged mono 700 watts
at 8 ohms......my queston is could this amp play mono in 4 ohms,or is
that pushing it it too much?I know it could play 4 ohms in
stereo...but why not in mono?The insructions that came with it does'nt
mention anything about 4ohms in mono.
