Diamond Cut DC6 versus Adobe Audition versus GoldWave
Which of the three is best for cleaning up recordings of vinyl records? Due
to academic pricing, I can actually get Audition cheaper than DC6. But DC6 seems to be positioned specifically for this application whereas Audition aims to do everything for everybody. |

There's also Soundsoap, though that's intended to be able to remove
noise from live recordings so it isn't tuned specifically for cleaning up records. There's also a version of that kind of training-based noise reduction included in some versions of Cakewalk Pyro (and that feature turns out to be a VST plug-in so you can try swiping it for use with real DAW cade). |
