Default Looking for amp suggestions

I'm looking for amp suggestions for a moderate priced amp installation.
Something in the 25-40 watts x 4 (4ohms) range, clean and dependable.
The last time a really dug into amps I was going after RF Power or PPI
amps...but things have changed quite a bit since then. Also, I've never
really understood the difference between the punch and power amp series
from RF. I'll be powering 4 JL audio speakers (2 in the door, 2 in the
back dash). Again, I'm looking for something dependable, clean, with
good (great?) sound quality. No subwoofers in my setup either.

Thanks as always

well if you are going with JL speakers, why not go for the JL
amp.....the 300/4, even though that is pushing more than what you are
looking for but a very dependable and GREAT sounding amp......what kind
of budget are you on? or i am watching a really nice phoenix gold
titanium......great SQ amp....check it out and a fair price too

I'm trying to stay under 400 for the amp and I already have the
speakers.

And now a bit of a twist. As I look further into my setup, I've been
casting an eye on subwoofer enclosures (the rear firing type for the
trunk like the JL audio). How does one go about powering the sub, and
two pairs of speakers? I'm not looking to blow any doors off as my
listening is mainly at low to moderate levels but I play bass and I
like to hear the bass..something my current setup is ok at but not too
exciting. I'm not sure whether I want to dish out the cash for the
extra power and the sub but was curious.

And sort of related but off the sub topic - you can power 2 pairs of
speakers with a two channel amp right? Any issues with this versus
going with a 4 channel amp? As you can tell, it's been a while since I
messed with car audio.

Thanks
