Need Help With Amps in Behringer Monitors
greetings all,
a pal of mine has a pair of Behringer B2031 powered monitors (yeah, i know - but he's just a starving student getting his feet wet recording himself with his sound******* card. they're actually probably overkill for him). a few days ago, while sitting turned on but not actually being used, one of them let out a holy skronk and started to stink. he shut it off and later everything seemed to work ok, but the stink is still there. after a quick check to make sure the warranty had indeed expired, i opened it up and found 3 of the 4 caps on the top left corner of the amplifier card had all turned black. i can replace 'em if i can figure out the values (i might have to look in the other speaker), but i'd love to know what they actually do. anybody else have this problem? anybody a janitor at Behringer that can smuggle me out some schematics? thanks as alwaysŠ --t [london, canada and echo cañon, nyc] |
