Default Kenwood Excelon KDC-X679

How do I get the Kenwood KDC-X679 out of demo mode? I have tried the
press and hold 5 while pushing the reset and it is not working for me.
Is there a certain amount of time that I need to hold down the buttons
or am I doing it completly wrong. Please let me know the exact steps
needed to get it done.

I had to take my MP-925 back to the installer to get it out of demo mode. It
seems all he did was hold the buttons down for a longer period of time than
I did. Try 5-10 seconds the faceplate should jerk and scare you then it will
be out of demo mode.
