I had installed an alpine mp3 player on my 99'Honda civic. The sound
was decent at normal levels using the factory speakers. But when i
increase the
volume the sound was too sharp. So I returned the alpine back.

My guess was that the factory speakers were not good enough to handle
the
O/P from the alpine player. does this sound right? Should I go for
both the
head unit & the 4 speakers for the sound to be better. My budget is
$500.
