Sansui 1000ea Receiver
I am looking for the schematic diagram for this receiver. The right channel
has less output then the left channel. Also what is the difference between the 1000a and the 1000ea? |

The 1000 uses 25E5 tubes for the output (PL36). The 1000A uses 7591's in
the output. Both sound very good. The 25E5/PL36 tubes are cheap as well. Kelly "Peter & Laura Sileo" wrote in message ... I am looking for the schematic diagram for this receiver. I had a similar problem with my Sansui 1000A, and searched the archived posts
for this model, via Google groups. This was a couple of years ago, but another fellow had the same problem as I did, with a weak side. He indicated the problem was in the preamp stage and while I don't recall exactly, it seemed to relate to either a capacitor or resistor, but I DO remember he was very explicit in describing the fix. I followed his instructions and it fixed mine too!! I was so encouraged, I rebuilt the receiver, replacing the leaky oil caps with vintage, milspec oilers, swapped in new power caps, and installed Russian 7591s. I use it all the time in my garage/shop! I'm sorry I can't remember the exact fix for the exact problem you described, but I'm sure you can get the info as I did, with a search for Sansui 1000A repairs through Google Groups, (searching RAT). Music flows in my house BECAUSE of the generous contributions from experienced RATs, allowing me to fix my own gear, where otherwise, I'd be up a creek without a paddle!! Good luck with your receiver! Robert Live and let live! |
