Default Can anyone id this mic?

Curious what it is. I know it's not any high-dollar mic.

Thanks.

Radio Shack?

I was thinking it looks vaguely like a C-1000.

Don't think C-1000 ever came in black. M3 similar size and shape, but black
!

Yep, it did. Think I have one in a case of assorted mics here.
The mic in the vid looks very much like a black C-1000.

A friend has a black C-1000, whereas I´ve seen the C-1000*S* only in
silver/gold.

Do you want to impress the girl by knowing what mic she has, so she thinks
'wow, this is a smart guy - must.... date...' ?

You made me look.

It doesn't look like a C1000 (assuming you're talking about
the AKG C1000. the grill is different and the body is
different. Also, there's a brief shot where it looks like
there's no cable. I suspect it's one of those nebulous
wireless karaoke mics that's a stock part of a system.

Interesting to see the places some folks' minds go.

Hey, I wouldn't blame you if you did - she's not that ugly. And what
possible other reason could there be?

If only you'd answer the question...

Simple curiosity.

Yes, she's beautiful and a very talented singer. However I don't give
most chicks the credit to make a leap like you suggested above nor do
I believe such a train of thought would likely lead them to romantic
notions.

Most chicks - "guy who knows tech stuff = nerd" They'll instead zero
in on the guitar player who'll be an asshole to them, cheat on them
and wreck their car.

For a short while they made black (well dark grey actually) C-1000S's. I
have a couple in my studio.

The mic in the video is more likely to be a Rode M3 though.

James.
