Phil really has a deep rooted psychological problem
(probably Bipolarity) and he can keep this up a lot longer
than you can. He will eventually wear you down and possibly
reduce you to his level. If you keep the discussion going
long enough you run the risk of getting mad, at which point
you will give Philthy great pleasure. Also while he keeps
you 'talking' he cunningly probes for any weak points or
gathers information that you would not normally want known.
It is the hit and miss guessing game. Spend long enough
arguing and will learn how to 'press your buttons'.

It's unusual for him to react like this because he was wrong about
something of course because he never acknowldeges being wrong.

Whew :-) That's good that you are aware of the pitfalls. I
have seen many 'innocent's over the years fall victim to
this sad, twisted, little man and I try and make people
aware of the dangers.

Please note I am not quite in the same league as some of the
'lunatic fringe' here outing some of the (how shall I say
this nicely) perceived nasties about ;-) ;-)

BTW in the case of Philthy anything is fair and equitable as
this asshole knows no bounds or will he adhere to any rules
common decency. I have documented a case where he even
posted a "Wanted Dead or Alive" offering a reward for
information regarding a poster!
