Question about Alpine AI-NET
The analog signals are sent by the Ai-net cables. If your HU will decode
mp3's then those too will be sent via the Ai-Net cable. Paul Vina "Ge0" wrote in message om... I haev my DVA-7996 head unit and have ordered the PXA-H700 processor. Question about signal routing. DVD 5.1 channel audio and CD audio digital bit streams will be sent to the PXA-H700 via fiber optic cable to be decoded and converted to analog signals by the PXA-H700 and then routed to it's 5.1 channel outputs. The PXA-H700's 5.1 channel outputs will then be connected to my amps. What happens to .mp3 and radio? Are analog signals transfered over the AI-NET cable? I don't want to make RCA connections between the head unit and amps. Just the PXA-H700 will be connected to the amps. Will the head unit decode .mp3 music tracks and then send this analog signal to the PXA-H700 via AI-NET? Will analog AM/FM radio signal be sent to the PXA-H700 over AI-NET? Or, does the head unit perform an A/D conversion and send AM/FM radio and .MP3 info to the PXA-H700 digitally via AI-NET? Confused... Thanks, Ge0 |
