Can anyone tell me the correct type and range of dc meter needed to
measure plate voltage on this tester? Also, how should this external
meter be housed and what type/gauge wire should me used? Thanks for the

It's 150VDC average; you don't need to measure it. If you do,
shunt the meter with 250k or so, to keep the voltage at its average
rather than peak. It's a full-wave-rectified sine wave.
