Default Identity of Ampex record electronics and hookup info?

Afew years back I picked up 3 racks of 50's recording gear, much of it
Ampex. I know little about the gear. I've recently setup a motu 828/Mac
g4 setup. I'm thinking of using the transport electronics for preamps
but I'm not sure what they are or what the hookup is. There are
probably problems with them and I can forsee updating them. I believe
they are 350's but I'm not sure. They have different tube complements,
one is model # 30960-01, the other 5701R3-2. They use seperate power
supplies... it looks as if power goes to the 30960-01 with a six pin
rectangular connector to "tape transport J7". The power suppies are 8
pin rectangle conns. Can anyone help with identification, circuit
diagrams, hookup info, general info? Should I use them as mic preamps?
or would they be better to sell to someone who can use their full
capacities and buy/trade for something else?

...there were also two lager 1/4 decks, 3 smaller... I'm wondering id
they are scap ( one has a cap that leaked badly and the heads look
fried) I'll get back with a complete list later.

Thanks in advance
